About ArtBridge

Many emerging artists and curators have strong ideas but limited access to networks, exhibition opportunities, collaborators, or practical support.

ArtBridge was created to help bridge that gap.

Through open calls, artist talks, workshops, and small-scale public programs, ArtBridge supports young creatives in testing ideas, meeting collaborators, and developing real project experience.

Our focus is on cross-cultural dialogue, emerging voices, and first opportunities — especially for students, international creatives, culturally diverse practitioners, and early-career artists and curators in Sydney.

ArtBridge is currently developing through pilot events, community building, and proposal-based opportunities.

Our Mission

ArtBridge aims to create accessible first opportunities for emerging artists and curators, while encouraging cross-cultural dialogue through contemporary art.

We believe that many young creatives already have strong ideas. What they often need is a first platform, a supportive network, and practical guidance to bring those ideas into public view.

Our Values

Access

Collaboration

Cross-cultural dialogue

We support people who may not yet have strong industry networks or previous exhibition experience.

We connect artists, curators, students, audiences, and cultural communities.

We encourage conversations across different cultural backgrounds, languages, identities, and lived experiences.

Learning by doing

Care and respect

We believe exhibitions, talks, and workshops are practical spaces for learning.

We aim to build a warm, inclusive, and respectful creative environment.

First Exhibition Pathways

We support emerging and under-seen artists by creating opportunities for their work to be introduced, discussed, documented, and shared with wider audiences.

We support students and early-career curators in developing exhibition ideas, public programs, artist talks, and collaborative projects.

We help artists and curators meet each other through EOI submissions, community events, workshops, and future project opportunities.

We organise artist talks, workshops, roundtables, and creative exchanges that encourage public conversations around identity, migration, language, memory, material practice, and cross-cultural experience.

We aim to support small-scale exhibitions, online showcases, and experimental public projects that help emerging creatives take their first public steps.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work– the Gadigal/Bidjigal people of the Eora Nation. We pay respects to their elders past, present and emerging.
